Rugby Sevens, also known as seven-a-side or Sevens (7's), is a variant of rugby union in which teams are made up of seven players (instead of the usual 15) with shorter matches (7 minutes per half instead of 30).
Rugby Sevens is one of the fastest growing sports in United States, with collegiate and international tournaments now being annually broadcast on major US networks (NBC, NBC Sports, Universal Sports, Fox Sports, and ESPNU. This vast growth is partially due to Rugby Sevens now being recognized as an Olympic sport and will make its debut in the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.
Our high school Rugby Sevens season starts 27 Sept and ends on 25 Oct.
