Four Keys to Keeping Kids Involved in Sports

Game balls or stickers for a job well done goes a long way, and so does pulling players aside and telling them good job.

An amazing 70 percent of kids drop out of youth sports by age 13, but we as coaches, parents and fans can do something to turn this around.

Losing kids from sports is a shame when you consider the benefits of sports including: healthier lifestyle/lower obesity, self-confidence, responsibility, academic focus, social interaction and life lessons.

So, how do you keep kids involved in sports, especially when you are competing against screen time, increasing academic rigor and teenage angst? In a nutshell – make it fun for them.
