It was an exciting weekend for the East Rugby program, both East teams coming up with nice wins.  Friday night the Leopards traveled to Olympus High School.  Over the last few years this has become a bit of a rivalry.  The Titans hit pay dirt first about 6 minutes into the match.  They would strike again and complete the conversion kick making the score 0 to 12 for Olympus.  The Leopards didn’t back down.  East needed a change in momentum and they got a spark when sophomore Thomas Parkin kicked the ball down the field to get the ball out of East Territory.  This would put the Leopards in the Olympus half of the field.  Moments later the Leopards would strike when Fusi Teisina rumbled in for the score.  The conversion was good.  Minutes later East would strike again on a series of crashes near the sideline.  PJ Leaaetoa was the player to cross the line.  The Leopards would enter the half with a tie score 12 to 12.

The momentum continued for the Leopards in the second half.  Jacob Vainuku would open things up carrying defenders past the try line.  East would extend the lead 17 to 12.  The Titans would match with a score making it a 17 – 17 tie.  East would continue to play solid defense and play highly physical on offense.  The next score came when Jadin Afuvai found a gap in the defense and touched the ball down for a try.  Not long after that Pate Langi powered his way into the end zone for another score extending the East lead 31 to 17.  Olympus would score 1 more time with about 5 minutes left and the final score of the match would be 31 to 24 for East.  It was a very competitive match from both side and the Leopards were able to secure a nice win on the road.
