It was rivalry week for the East Rugby Team this past weekend.  The East Varsity Team (4-0) would face Highlands Varsity Team (4-0) for the Single School North Conference Championship.  The Leopards started strong with the first score coming from Halani Utuone crashing up the middle in the first 5 minutes of the match.  Minutes later Loa Kaufusi would find the try zone after some great team phase play.  Highland would not have its first offensive possession until 10 minutes into the match.  The Leopards continued to roll and Loa Kaufusi would score again off of a pick and go.  The next Leopard score would come from the East counter attack.  Adam Rouse would field a kicked ball and make the extra pass to a sprinting Jordan Anderson for the score.  The last score of the half would be Loa Kaufusis last of the match.  The Leopards shut out the Rams in the first half with a score of 31 to 0.

East would have 2 mores scores in the second half.  The first from Fa Toli finding the gap in the defense from 10 meters out.  The last score would come from Helaman Suesue intercepting a miss handled pass from Highland.  Highland would score 15 points in the second half making the finals score East 43 and Highland 15.  It was a great end to the regular season with the leopards 5-0 in conference and 6-0 overall.  The varsity team will face off against Herriman in the semifinal on May 14th.
