The East High Rugby team was not in action this past weekend because of spring break.  The weekend prior the team opened up conference play against West High School.  It didn’t take long for the East High Leopards to get rolling.  Halani Utuone scored the first of 4 tries on the day with a line break from the inside center position.  Shortly after Taki Vakalahi scored his first of 4 tries on the day striping the ball on defense and running 50 meters for the score the other direction.  The third score of the game came off of a kickoff when Fullback Jordan Anderson received a kick deep in the East territory and took the ball 95 meters splitting the defense.  East would close out the first half 48 to 0.

Momentum for the Leopards would continue in the second half.  Helaman Suesue and Pale Salt would add to the point total with scores.  A handful of younger players had the opportunity to step up and play in their first varsity matches.  This was a great start to conference play.
