The 9/10 team had their first full exhibition match against Herriman.  The 9/10 team plays in its own league with an opportunity to win a State Championship. The first half was a back and forth battle and both teams finished the first half scoreless.  That changed about 10 minutes into the second half when Ami Tausinga got the ball in open play and scored a try from about 30 yards out breaking tackles along the way.  Shortly after that Viliami Makoni crossed the try line for the second score.  Jadin Afuvai hit both conversion kicks making it 14 to 0 for East.  Herriman would answer making the score 14 to 7.  Herriman would push to make another score but time would expire leaving the East 9/10 team with the 14 to 7 victory.  This is a great win for this group and it is a step in the right direction moving into the season.
