East High Rugby was in action this past weekend in the first full exhibition match of the season.  The East High varsity team played against Herriman.  The varsity team came out with a strong start.  The first part of the first half was played on the Herriman side of the field but the Leopards could not capitalize.  The score at the end of the half was East 0 Herriman 8.

The second half proved to be a different game.  It was a back and forth battle but Herriman slowly took over the match.  Joe Delannoy scored the lone try for the Leopards with a successful conversion by Connor Allison.  Jadin Afuvai made 3 penalty kicks (think Field Goal) to give East a point total of 16.  It would not be enough as the final score was 46 to 16.  This was a great test for the East Rugby Team at the beginning of the season.
