This past weekend the East High Rugby hosted 3 different matches.  The varsity team played against Wasatch (Murray), the JV played against Cache Valleys Varsity Club.  The varsity game proved to be much more of a challenge than the previous week.  East started strong scoring first to take a 7-0 lead with a score from Fa Toli and a conversion by Nate Asper.  Moments later Nate Asper added another 3 points with a penalty conversion, similar to kicking a field goal in football.  Wasatch would answer before the half making the halftime score East 10 Wasatch 5.   

Wasatch would open the second half with the first score and take the lead East 10 Wasatch 12.  East answered with a score from lock Loa Kaufusi.  The conversion was missed but East extended the lead 15 to 12.  With about 10 minutes left in the match Wasatch was able to post another score which would be the last score of the match.  The final result East 15 Wasatch 19.

The JV match was a great test for some of the younger newer players.  The Cache Valley side scored 67 points on their previous weeks opponent.  Cache Valley had the lead at the half 12 to 5.  East turned it up in the second half and took charge of the rest of the match.  The final result was East 41 Cache Valley 24.  Score for East came from Joe Delannoy, Carl Odom, Halani Utuone, and Pale Salt.  It was a great run for the boys
