The Utah Lions defeated Malvern Prep in the finals at PPL Park in Philly this weekend 26-0 in a smashing defeat highlighted by some incredible rugby moments. During the HSRC, the HS division ofthe CRC, the Lions systematically dismantled their opponents scoring 163 points for and 17 against in 6 games. The boys had coaches and selectors from multiple Universities including Dartmouth, UCLA, Notre Dame, Life, Univ of Texas, Oklahoma,  and other approach them to talk about opportunities at their resective schools and to discuss what kind of grades, ACT scores, activities and the like they woudl need to get admission. That was an eye opener for many of the players who now need to hunker down on not only rugby but grades as well. 

This marks the second major tournament the boys have won as they extend their winning streak to 12-0 where they have scored 314 points and only given up 47. 

Next up for the Lions is the Denver 7s  20-21 of June where they wil get a chance to compete against some new Rocky Mountain area team and then its on to Calgary to the Stampede 7s.
