***Registration for Little Rugby Summer 7s 2017 Season IS NOW OPEN***

Little Rugby 7s is a fun way for youth grades K-8 to learn the great game of rugby and empower them through rugby to instill the core values of respect, integrity, honor, teamwork, sportsmanship, and work ethic. Little Rugby 7s is a division of Utah Youth Rugby. Below is more information about the league and how to get involved.

Mission:

  • Develop Life Skills –Honesty, confidence, teamwork, accountability, sportsmanship, trust, and hard work.
  • Develop Rugby Skills –Safety, passing, catching, tackling, strategy, athleticism, and active lifestyle

Why Rugby?

  • Fun and Easy to Play –free flowing and continuous game where everyone has an opportunity to move the ball and score!
  • Something New –rugby is the newest Olympic sport and fastest growing sport in the U.S.
  • Safe–rugby is a very controlled game with rules in place to keep all players safe. Although players don’t wear pads, they are taught the necessary skill to stay safe and successful on the field. Younger kids play touch and progressively work into tackling.
  • Compliments Other Sports – Want to improve your game in other sports you play? Rugby is your answer! –ball handing, evading defenders, proper tackling, kicking, quick decision making, and teamwork.
