Hello All!
As a member of the current Utah Youth Rugby (UYR) Board of Directors (BOD) I been asked to follow up on the recent UYR BOD elections. After reviewing the votes tabulated by the current UYR BOD and current Executive Team members there were some discrepancies in the numbers and results.
Rather than go through another vote, ongoing delays and other potential issues with resetting the BOD, the current BOD opted to accept all 11 voted candidates as the new working BOD. Upon reviewing the UYR bylaws this was best and proper solution to the issue. It conformed to the current UYR by-laws, maintained all interested parties, while also allowing the UYR to have a majority-vote BOD with 11 members.
Also, after review of the by-laws the BOD also had to exclude current club coaches from BOD inclusion, as such, the BOD regrettably had to omit one coach from consideration.
As such, the newly appointed UYR BOD is as follows (in no particular order):

- Mark Numbers
- Margaret Lita
- Haloti Liavaa
- Kenny Rivera
- Joseph Hood
- Dayna R.
- Quinn Koller
- Isaac Hardman
- Terry Ring
Next course of action will be for the newly voted BOD to meet immediately (led by interim Chairman Kenny Rivera) and set the short and long term action items for 2015 understanding that the BOD is up against a tight window with the spring season right around the corner.
We are very excited about the new BOD. There are some exciting times ahead and together with the executive and club leadership we all can help make the UYR the envy of the country.
