Fun in the mud and rain

Brigham City 7s

It poured most of the day! If you were not there, it is hard to realize how hard it rained all day but it didn't stop 13 teams from having great competition.  You can see all stats and scores by clicking on the Fall 7s tab at the top of the page. Photos and Videos are there as well. You can also see all videos on YouTube under the UtahRugbyVideos channel.

Herriman can back twice in the playoffs to narrowly win both the Semifinal and Final match against Summit Academy and Skyline respectively. Colin Snow, from Herriman, made a game saving tackle against Darian Power of Summit  to hold a last minute line break that could have changed the fortunes of both teams om Saturday that put Herriman, who had lost in pool play to Summit, into the finals against Skyline. Once there, Herriman found themselves down 12-0 at the half against Skyline on scores by Bridger Gilgen. Digging deep, Herriman came back against Skyline, who was down to a single substitute and after slotting a difficult conversion kick, found themselves in the lead 14-12 at the whistle.

The Girls were no less exciting. While the Orem Stallions played some incredible rugby and dominated the entire day despite rugby conditions more suited to 15s. They quickly put away most teams and ended up winning the final against United 42-5. It seems that the Orem girls are the team to beat and have laid down the challenge to all the girls teams, 7s or 15s, in the state.
